What I do….
Some key points
Our bodies are amazing and beautiful. I seek to learn as much as I can to help folks find greater ease and comfort in our bodies.
I work with curiosity, an open mind and a broad toolkit.
It is important to me that people feel heard when we are working together - both through your words and the stories your body tells.
If something isn’t working, please tell me and we will look for another way.
The John Barnes’ Approach to Myofascial Release places low-force, long-duration tension into myofascial web to release restriction, hydrate and elongate tissues, reduce pain, and increase ease of motion. We start at the place that hurts and follow sensations to find the cause elsewhere. This is structural work which also develops increased internal body awareness.
No two session are the same because the body is always changing and adapting to our unique circumstances, behaviors, and choices.
MFR is the primary focus of my practice. CranioSacral Therapy, Manual Organ Therapy, Cupping, Reiki, and Shiatsu Acupressure may be integrated.
